BOULDER – The Boulder Area Realtor® Association installed its 2019-2020 officers and directors at a reception at The Embassy Suites Hotel on Oct. 3, 2019. John Tayer, President and CEO of the Boulder Chamber of Commerce presided over the festivities.
2019 Chair Scott Sammons, Spaces Real Estate, passed the gavel to 2020 Chair Jay Kalinski, RE/MAX Elevate.
The Association also installed Brett Sawyer, Colorado Landmark, Chair-elect; Scott Sammons as Past Chair and Colorado Association of Realtors® Director, and Emily Bossert, Spencer Hellwig and Lisa Rice as Directors for three years.
Special tribute was paid to Ken Hotard, who is retiring after 35 years with the association as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs.
Scott Sammons presented Chair Awards to Stephanie Watson, Robbin Merta, Bob Groening and Shannon Emery.
The Affiliate Member of the Year honors this year went to Elizabeth Million of Elevations Credit Union for outstanding service to the Association.
Twelve members were given special recognition for 25 years continuous Association membership: Cheryl Craig, Stephen Guertler, Collette Herwitt, Dan Kingdom, Kelly Moye, Kathryn Barberis, Matthew Binger, John Burdick, Lloyd Evans, Peter Garthwaite, Richard Gribbon and Kathleen Nolan.
Representing 40 years of continuous membership in the Boulder Area Realtor® Association, the Realtor® Emeritus Award was presented to Marcia Kosar, Aggie Sobol, Ron Cooper, Mike Greenwood and William Kamin.
The 2019 Community Service Award was presented to Cheryl Craig for her non-profit “100 Women Who Care”.
Danielle Zanolli, RE/MAX Alliance of Boulder was honored as the 2019 Support Person of the Year, while Rich Dana, Live West Realty, received the 2019 Broker/Manager of the Year.
David Scott, Colorado Landmark, was named the 2019 Distinguished Realtor of the Year. Top honors as the 2019 Realtor of the Year were given to Emily Siân Murphy of WK Real Estate.
