“I’ve lived in Longmont for a long time,” Martha Morgan said. “I guess my house was getting too big for me to handle.”

The advantage of these kinds of resources is that they foster a real sense of community. “I like people,” Morgan said. “I like meeting new people.” She’s been in her home for about two weeks. In that time, she’s been greeted by neighbors who welcomed her to the area with food and well wishes. She looks forward to plugging in and plans to dive into the activities regularly offered at the neighborhood’s club house.

Because a home purchase can be stressful, those qualities are nearly essential. Throughout the process, she felt comfortable.
