Visit and tour over 20 Northern Colorado Homes September 8-10 and September 15-17

NORTHERN COLORADO – The Home Builders Association of Northern Colorado has been working diligently to present this year’s Parade of Homes, scheduled for September 8, 9, 10 and September 15, 16 and 17. You are invited to visit this year’s exciting lineup of 29 outstanding custom and luxury homes located throughout Larimer and Weld County.

But you’d better see them now, because they won’t be on the market long. “Homes in Northern Colorado are still selling about as fast as builders can build them,” says Janet Hatfield, Resources Development and Membership Services Director for the Home Builders Association of Northern Colorado. “Technology continues to play its part in creating today’s homes. This year we have even more green homes, smart homes, and a majority of these are Energy Star rated.”

This season’s collection ranges from high-end luxury to affordably priced, innovative to elegant, and all located in neighborhoods from Fort Collins to Firestone. There’s even a first this year – a luxurious Tiny Home that lives much larger than its 365 square feet suggests. The “Empty Nester” model was a hit at the recent Colorado Tiny House Festival, where it took the Best in Show Award.

2017 Parade hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day of the tour, and admission is free. All homes are open and most are for sale. One don’t-miss home by HighCraft Builders is not offered for sale, but will be open for touring on the second weekend only. Homes on the Parade range in price from the mid-300s to $1,795,000.

You can begin the free, self-guided tour at any tour home and proceed at your own pace. The 2017 Parade of Homes makes for an enjoyable road trip, with a touch of autumn and plenty to see outside, and in.

This is your opportunity to see the best of the best in Northern Colorado homes and communities. The list of participants is a Who’s Who of the leading home builders in Larimer and Weld counties.

No matter which direction you’re headed, you will discover a diverse group of exceptional housing styles, locations and price ranges. Each parade includes spectacular examples of the newest housing layouts, trends and decorative styles. Builders on the tour have chosen their tour home as an expression of their craft and unique approach to style.

As an organization of residential construction and related professionals dedicated to high ethical standards and education, the HBA of Northern Colorado advocates for the health of the homebuilding industry and the success of its members.

Greg Miedema, Executive Officer for the HBA of Northern Colorado, has been actively working with Aims and Front Range community colleges in partnerships to promote the construction industry to young people who are seeking a career. “Construction offers many opportunities for making a great living,” Miedema says. He suggests that a traditional four-year degree, while appropriate for many, isn’t the only path towards a secure professional future. “Within just a very few years in the building industry, you can be earning $60,000 and you won’t have a college loan to repay. It’s really a very viable alternative.”

Make Plans Now to Attend the 2017 Parade of Homes
The Parade of Homes Magazine and Guide will be inserted in the Coloradoan and Loveland Reporter Herald newspapers on Saturday, Sept. 2. Copies of the guide will also be available at each of the Fall Parade home sites. Information and an interactive map are also online at nocohba.com/parade-of-homes-2017.

The NOCO HBA hopes you will find everything you’re looking for in an exciting Northern Colorado home at the 2017 NOCO HBA Parade of Homes. To view any of these homes privately, please contact the builder directly to make your appointment. Homes will be open during parade hours.

Pick Your Favorite for the People’s Choice Award
It may not be easy to pick your favorite home from so many excellent choices, but you can try. All attendees are encouraged to vote for the best by selecting an entry for the People’s Choice Award.

To participate, you must visit at least five houses and have your ballot initialed by a builder representative at each site. Then, select your favorite and drop your ballot (available in the Parade of Homes guide, online at nocohba.com, or at each Parade Home) in any home’s ballot box.

Eligible voters are automatically entered to win the viewers grand prize. The builder or remodeler who receives the most votes from attendees in the People’s Choice Award contest wins a plaque, an award and recognition through NOCO HBA media promotion. The Peoples Choice Award is the most coveted award of the NOCO HBA Parade of Homes.
