Only seven lots remain in the coveted ParkSide neighborhood in south Longmont, where local builder Flatirons Homes has created a community that checks all the boxes: affordable, luxurious, nature-centric and convenient.
Situated within minutes of Boulder, I-25 and E-470, ParkSide is home to multiple RTD stops; the popular Longmont Recreation Center and Longmont Museum and Cultural Center are just a block away; and Longmont’s Downtown Creative District with retail and shopping just a five-minute drive or quick bus ride from your front door. The centrally-located community is also zoned for the award-winning St. Vrain Valley School District. In fact, the Innovation Center of St. Vrain Valley Schools is just down the road, and families with teens will have a super short commute to Niwot High School. The St. Vrain trail system can also be accessed easily from the community.
A snapshot of life at ParkSide
For neighborhood resident Andrew, the location of ParkSide is what really sealed the deal. “Since moving to Colorado we lived in Denver, Boulder, Aurora and Thornton before finally settling down and falling in love with Longmont,” he says. “South Longmont’s location provides easy access to our family in Boulder as well as work in Broomfield. We were able to find a great floor plan and lot that met all our needs and enjoyed being able to customize our design choices, but the location and views are really what sold us.”
Andrew and his family make daily use of the trail system just across the street by the recreation center and enjoy walks to the Dickens Farm Nature Area. “We played in the water on the banks of the St. Vrain river this summer and our son honed his bike skills at the bike park,” he says. “When we want to stay closer to home, we enjoy shorter walks around the neighborhood park. We took in the breathtaking Front Range sunsets during socially-distanced happy hours this summer and have enjoyed some cross country skiing and sledding this winter. During a year where we spent most of our time at home, we were very glad that our home was in Parkside!”
Take your pick: Parkside…
Three of the remaining homes at ParkSide are just that – on the side of the park! The community’s crown jewel, a landscaped five-acre park in the center of it all, provides an accessible open green space that serves as both a personal playground and an opportunity to connect with your fellow ParkSide residents. “The park is something everyone raves about and something you see people enjoying on a daily basis,” says Cauley Kim, sales manager for Flatirons Homes. “People have picnics, fly kites, play soccer, build snowmen, read books, and do yoga in the park. ParkSide has become a wonderful community with wonderful relationship-building between neighbors.”
Just three homes, starting in the low to mid $500s, are available on South Parkside Drive, which is located immediately beside the neighborhood park.
… Or open space
The premium ParkSide lots, along South Oak Court, back up against nine acres of city open space and are oriented East-West for unobstructed sunrise views. These lots are some of the largest in the development, and a portion of the adjacent open space will eventually be developed into a city park with access to a trail system. The master plan for Wertman Neighborhood Park currently includes wildflower gardens, pickleball courts, picnic areas, disc golf holes, an off-leash dog area, slackline and hammock posts, playgrounds and trails, along with plenty of lawn space for spreading out a picnic blanket or throwing a frisbee. All streets in the Parkside at Quail Ridge community lead to this expansive outdoor gem.
Step outside your door and take in Colorado in all its glory – every day, every season. Four lots are left on South Oak Court, starting in the mid to high $500s. All premium homes come with additional features to enhance the indoor space, such as designer interior paint colors, extra-wide baseboards, five-panel Shaker-style doors, undermounted sinks, and the option to finish the basement space.
Four single-family homes are still available on South Oak Court: two two-story homes and two ranch-style homes. The ranch-style homes provide an option for retirees or others who want the low-maintenance, easy access convenience of main-floor living. All single-family homes feature a yard, a two-car garage and a covered porch for picnics and relaxing afternoons with the family.
The ParkSide home experience
Each of the remaining lots at ParkSide can be laid out as a three- or four-bedroom home. All ParkSide residents benefit from the high-quality, energy-efficient construction of a Flatirons Home – sustainability has always been a core principle for the company. The same features that are good for the planet are also great for the homeowners’ wallet: low-flush toilets, blown cellulose insulation, fiber cement lap siding, high-efficiency windows and a highly-rated furnace make for a comfortable, climate-controlled home and a smaller utility bill. Luxury touches, like nine-foot ceilings, walk-in closets, 42-inch cabinetry, GE appliances, Delta plumbing fixtures and granite counters, make the interior of each home inviting. And on the outside, ParkSide homes stand out with stucco and stonework, painted beam detailing, and beautifully coordinated exterior colors.
Standard interiors add a special touch of luxury to the homes in ParkSide. All buyers can count on a stainless steel dishwasher, range, and microwave, as well a kitchen islands or peninsulas that provide ample counter space, and covered porches for maximized outdoor living. The community also boasts fiber optics internet service provided by NextLight.
ParkSide has rapidly become one of the most well-loved neighborhoods in the Front Range, with some of the most affordable homes on the market in Boulder County. With only seven lots remaining, this is a last-chance opportunity to take advantage of all the well-rounded amenities in this beautiful, convenient neighborhood. Make sure you’re the first to be notified of the release of these remaining lots!
