LONGMONT – Interfaith Quilters of Longmont will present its 34th Annual Quilt Show and Sale on March 6 and 7. The event will be held at First Lutheran Church located at 803 Third Ave. in Longmont. A special quilt preview will be held on Friday, March 6 from 4 to 6 p.m. prior to the show and sale. Quilt sales will take place Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and resume on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A $1 donation is requested upon admission.

This year’s quilt show and sale will highlight a prolific group of local quilters offering more than 700 quilted items to choose from.

The selection will include colorful bed quilts ranging from crib to queen size as well as baby and teenage-themed quilts, wall hangings, table toppers, placemats, lap and pillow quilts. Fabric and quilting books will also be available for purchase and a Quilt Appraisal service (by appointment) will be offered by Longmont resident Jeananne Wright. At the show and sale, customer service volunteers will be available to assist you in finding gifts for birthdays, babies, holidays and more.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit O.U.R. Center (Outreach United Resource Center) and Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley.

Interfaith Quilters of Longmont serves the community all year long by donating items to the O.U.R. Center, Safe Shelter, Quilts of Valor for military veterans, Mountain States Children’s Home, Meals on Wheels and other charities in the community.

This active group of quilters is comprised of about 130 volunteers with varying degrees of experience. The group gathers Mondays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Longmont. The organization is an opportunity to learn to quilt or get inspiration for the quilt you have been meaning to sew. New members are always welcome.
