Business plans to grow to 50 agents and add additional offices in 2016
Fort Collins, COLO.(Jan 22, 2016) – Celebrating its one-year anniversary in Colorado, Windermere Real Estate hosted its second annual Forecast Event last night at the Fort Collins Marriott. With rents rising and new home starts at only half of what they were in 2005, it continues to be a great time to buy, and sell.
Windermere Colorado President, Eric Thompson, and Windermere’s Chief Economist, Matthew Gardner, addressed the nation’s economy and its impact on the Colorado housing market as well as key trends in Northern Colorado such as home values, best-selling neighborhoods, and growth predictions. Addressing the concern of the ‘real estate bubble,’ Thompson elaborated on his experience, as well as data from trusted sources like the Federal Housing Finance Agency, stating Colorado doesn’t typically experience such wild market swings.
“One of the worst years in real estate history was 2008 and even then our market only saw a two percent drop,” Thompson said. “Other markets like Phoenix experienced as much as a 22 percent drop. Still with a market full of complexity, Windermere Colorado is committed to putting the customer first.”
Windermere’s listings in Northern Colorado sell for 11.5 percent more and 25 percent faster compared to the market average and through specialized programs like Windermere Certified Listings, The VIP Customer Program, and Neighborhood News, Thompson and his team aim to create a predictable, seamless experience for the customer. Over the past year, Windermere Colorado has opened offices in both Fort Collins and Denver and has hired 21 REALTORS®, and expects to grow to 50 agents and open additional branch locations in 2016.
Also in attendance were Windermere Real Estate CEO, Geoff Wood, and co-presidents, OB Jacobi and Jill Jacobi Wood from Seattle, Wash.
