“Invested” is an understatement when referring to WK Real Estate’s legacy of participation in community and charitable initiatives. Any for-profit business can write a check and claim it is part of a community event. But how often do you see a real estate brokerage send its agents out in droves to volunteer, research best environmental practices, partner with municipalities and universities and become invested in neighborhoods without any connection to a transaction? All of that makes up a typical week at WK Real Estate.
“We’re all full-time agents and staff members, and we’re raising kids and living in these communities,” says WK’s Managing Broker/Owner Dan Kingdom. “Yes, we’re a real estate company, but we’re community members first and foremost.”
With eight months left in 2023, WK Real Estate has its hands full with a full slate of events that enrich the Front Range in many ways.
BOLDERBoulder: Legends of the Lawn
Whether you plan to run the BolderBoulder on May 29 or just cheer everyone on from the sidelines, pay close attention to the lawns in the neighborhoods along the race route this year. You can vote for your favorite in the Legends of the Lawn contest presented by WK Real Estate. Great prizes for first and second place, provided by Hotel Boulderado, will be awarded and voting is easy at the WK expo booth or through a QR code found along the race course.
Folsom Field’s 4th of July Spectacular: Night Sky Drone Show
This year, Boulder’s 4th of July celebration is set to dazzle with its first-ever Night Sky Drone Show, and WK Real Estate is a proud sponsor of this spectacular event along with the City of Boulder and the University of Colorado. This alternative to a traditional fireworks show is a chance to bring the community together to celebrate our country. A Night Sky Drone Show eliminates many concerns that community members have voiced in the past related to potential fire risks, and air and noise pollution. So come on down to Folsom Field on July 4th for something exciting, modern and totally new for Boulder! To check out this year’s entertainment

Rhythm at Roosevelt in Longmont
WK Real Estate is proud to be a platinum sponsor of Rhythm at Roosevelt music and arts festival at Longmont’s Roosevelt Park on Sept. 16. WK outdoes itself at this fun event with many amazing giveaways, and is thrilled to support the thriving Longmont community.
Collaboration: A core value
At WK Real Estate, collaboration is at the heart of both community outreach and real estate. Any good Realtor® should possess basic sales skills, understand how to negotiate contracts, complete documents correctly to ensure that transactions are binding and legal, and practice with ethics and compliance. But the role of an exceptional Realtor® doesn’t begin or end at the closing table. To the associates and staff at WK Real Estate, every client is a person or family, a home, and a lifetime of memories that it is their privilege to be part of. Whether it is a transition to a new phase in life, a walk with clients down memory lane, or simply understanding the life their clients live, WK Real Estate is a collaborative partner
and a lifelong friend.
WK Real Estate is known and beloved for its focus on people and partnerships. It would be hard to overstate how personal those connections are; the people of WK are known well by name and respected for their reputation. For 23 straight years, the people of Boulder County have recognized WK Real Estate as one of the Boulder County “Best Real Estate Companies” and “Best Customer Service” in the annual Boulder County Gold awards. And in Longmont, WK has also been voted “Best Real Estate Company” and “Best Customer Service” consistently in the Times-Call’s Readers’ Choice awards since 2010 (which happens to be the year
WK opened an office there).
Brokers give back

There are marquee events that WK Real Estate happily sponsors, but the company’s Realtors also participate in untold volunteer events, on their own time, because they are moved to do so by their love of and commitment to their communities. “I’m passionate about giving back to the community in which I live and that has given so much to me,” says Broker Associate Dene Yarwood. “A Woman’s Work is a great local charity that assists women in need and I love being a part of it. The ‘I Have a Dream Foundation’ of Boulder County assists children in need and I’ve wholeheartedly worked with one class since their second year of schooling. I believe in giving where you live to help make our community and our world a better place–every little bit of effort or funds helps!”
WK Real Estate participates with financial assistance and volunteer time in Community Food Share’s Compete to Beat Hunger Corporate Challenge, Habitat for Humanity projects, and the Rise Against Suicide 5K, Share-a-gift and Meals on Wheels. The company is very proud to offer two $2,500 scholarships to first-in-family students from Front Range families attending CU’s Leeds School of Business every year.
“From a real estate perspective, every client has an opportunity to build long-term financial success,” says Dan Kingdom. “This strengthens the people in our community and our community as a whole. Whether it’s working on a Habitat for Humanity house or Community Food Share’s Corporate Challenge, hopefully, the donation of time and resources adds up and can help stabilize someone so that they can work toward meeting their financial goals and building wealth.”
To be part of WK Real Estate’s extensive community involvement, or learn more about how they have fostered long-term financial stability and success for residents along the Front Range for more than 47 years, WK Real Estate would be honored to connect with you.
