DENVER – RE/MAX Alliance announced at it’s annual Thanksgiving Event held November 16, a new partnership with New Story, a non-profit company which helps to transform lives and communities across the world. Over the past two years, New Story has been building communities in Haiti, El Salvador, and Bolivia. They work with local partners to transform poverty stricken areas into safe, life-changing communities that provide families with shelter, access to clean water, sanitation, and power. Each home costs just $6,000 and is given to a family in need to impact their lives and many generations to follow.
RE/MAX Alliance has been involved in helping children in the local community with their support of Children’s Miracle Network. As a result of two successful golf tournaments in 2016, a check for over $115,000 was presented to Children’s Hospital on December 1.
“We’ve always been proud of making a difference in the lives of children and families in our local community, we will always continue in our efforts to support the Children’s Miracle Network and Children’s Hospital of Denver,”said Chad Ochsner, broker/owner for RE/MAX Alliance. “Now with our partnership, we have the opportunity to help children and communities that need support in another part of the world as well. Everything starts with a home, and by training local labor and buying locally sourced construction materials, these homes will help stimulate local economies and teach skills in the process.”
For many of these people and families, they don’t have proper shelter, clean water or sanitation systems and are experiencing
It’s nearly impossible for kids to go to school, or adults to get jobs when they don’t even have a safe place to sleep at night. With the efforts of New Story, building these homes will provide safety and consistency, which unlocks the potential needed to thrive.
